Creative Lynx have produced a short animated film, A Place For You, following the story of some very unfortunate London pigeons. As we see them struggle to survive, laugh (good-naturedly) at their plight, and are moved by their bravery, we can also personalise elements including the London bus ads by adding our friend's likes and dislikes to generate amusing slogans based on famous ads.
Commissioned by North Northants Development Company, the film is another addition to the already well-publicised North Londonshire campaign, aimed at inspiring Londoners to move to North Northamptonshire to live and work.
A Place For You depicts London as a rather frightening place, busy, crowded, and full of menacing danger in the form of evil cats and Krunchy Fried Pigeon outlets. Although tongue-in-cheek, the representation reflects the feeling of many Londoners towards the end of their London stay, looking for a family-friendly, calmer way of life.
It will be promoted throughout various social media channels and the elements of personalisation (including your chance to appear in a famous ad) should inspire viewers to create their own personalised film and send it to their friend. After all, who doesn't want to appear in their very own Milk Tray Man advert?
And all because everyone loves a funny viral.
