Following a speech by David Blunkett in 2000 regarding education reforms, the Academy projects were first announced. Transforming secondary education, these schools would specialize in key areas, taking on a whole new approach to schooling.
Q3 Academy was one of these, revamping Dartmouth High School with state of the art facilities and a new focus on Design and Enterprise. These new schools, supported by sponsors and with a new level of independence not normally seen in education, are storming the system. With bold leadership, fresh ideas and an open-to-all policy, our designs for their prospectus needed to reflect their ethos and attitude. We wanted parents and students alike to be enthused about learning and the facilities on offer. The new Academy officially opened its doors in September 2008.
